About this speaker
As a co-founder of ABNA, Nicole is highly involved in the day-to-day management of the firm; which has grown from its humble beginnings in 1994 as a two-person firm, to more than 60 professionals who perform work throughout the Midwest.
ABNA provides Structural, Land Surveying, Geotech, Construction Management, Testing & Inspection, and Civil Engineering Design Services for civil infrastructure, as well as industrial, educational, healthcare, and commercial projects.
She holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a B.S. in Urban Affairs from Harris Stowe State University, and a Doctor of Education in Social Justice in Education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Nicole’s greatest passion is opening doors of opportunity for young people to pursue careers in STEM. She fuels this passion through the support of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc, FIRST LEGO League, Access Point IT Employment Program, and the board of Directors for Nine PBS.
As a lifetime member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), she has helped raise over $200,000 for college scholarships through the St. Louis Gateway Chapter. ABNA has also provided internships for dozens of students over the years, several of whom have transitioned to full-time employment with ABNA.
