About this speaker
As the Vice President of Field Culture and Inclusion, Dan Lester leads the strategic
integration of inclusion education and training throughout the Clayco Enterprise.
Over the last 15 years, Dan has helped organizations and their people successfully
find solutions to culture, equity, and inclusion barriers, and identify opportunities for
growth in their space.
Dan is nationally recognized as a thought leader and innovator in the
operationalization of inclusion and psychological safety in the construction industry.
Dan serves across many organizations; he is a founding member of the
Construction Career Development Initiative (CCDI) and the Executive
Committee, Juneteenth Fund Advisory Committee to the Clayco Foundation. At
Missouri University of Science and Technology, he serves as Vice President of the
Miner Alumni Association Board of Directors, Kummer College of Innovation
Advisory Board, Chancellors Advisory Committee for African-American Recruitment
and Retention, and the Academy of Miner Athletics. Dan sits on the Board of
Directors for Mental Health America of Eastern Missouri.
Dan graduated from the Missouri University of Science & Technology in 2005 with a
Bachelor of Science in Business and Management Information Systems and a Minor
in Information Science and Technology. He also has his Executive MCA certification
through Morgan State University and the American Contractor Compliance
Association. Dan is a certified trainer in the 4 Stages of Psychological Safety and the Vital Cog Suicide Prevention Program.
